VisualFit lets shoppers virtually try on clothing in real-time using their smartphone camera. Nine Pixels built the complete AR experience including custom body-tracking, physics-based garment simulation, and e-commerce integration. The retailer had abandoned two previous AR solutions before engaging us.
Most AR try-on apps feel gimmicky, floating garments that don't respond to movement. The retailer needed AR convincing enough to influence real purchase decisions. Previous solutions saw engagement drop after initial novelty.
Custom body-tracking pipeline using MediaPipe Pose with a proprietary garment mapping layer that projects clothing with physics-based cloth simulation. Garments stretch, wrinkle, and settle in response to movement. A custom shader handles lighting adaptation: the virtual garment picks up ambient light from the real scene. E-commerce integration bridges to the retailer's product catalogue and checkout. AR engagement analytics streamed to backend.
Two specialist AR vendors couldn't fix the credibility problem. Nine Pixels did. When customers trust what they see, they buy.
